A beautiful testimonial!

A beautifully written testimonial from one of our Bethany families:

Our ᴄʜɪʟᴅʀᴇɴ ᴡɪʟʟ ʙᴇᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴡʜᴏ we ᴀʀᴇ; ʙᴇ ᴡʜᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡᴀɴᴛ ᴛʜᴇᴍ ᴛᴏ ʙᴇ.

I have tiny eyes watching me and little feet following my every move; silently learning, soaking in, and mimicking the words out of my mouth and the actions they see.

Every day, I pray that my words and actions would lead my babies to know kindness like Jesus. That they would know how important it is to love {everyone} unconditionally, to serve and to speak with words that build up, not tear down.

Every day, I aim to create little leaders, who take care of themselves and others; who stand up for each other and who create friends wherever they go.

As a mama, I have SUCH a cool opportunity to create CHANGE and a culture of kindness and leadership starting from inside my home -- it doesn't take any money or resources to do that.

Here are 5 values we are always aiming to teach in our home:

1. HONESTY. helping them find ways to tell the truth & understand why it's important.

2. JUSTICE. always saying "I’m sorry" and making amends.

3. DETERMINATION. encouraging them to take on challenges & persist even if it's hard at first.

4. CONSIDERATION. teaching them to think about other's feelings.

5. LOVE. like Jesus does.

So grateful for @bethanyluthschoolnaper Bethany Lutheran School Naperville, IL for enforcing these values on the daily!
